The Government of Assam has launched the Prime Minister Internship Scheme (Pilot Project) Assam 2024-25. All young citizens of Assam who have completed their education and are now looking to begin a corporate career can apply online for this scheme. The central government of India has introduced a total of 1.25 lakh internship opportunities across the country, of which 3,523 internships are reserved for young citizens of Assam. The main objective of launching the Prime Minister Internship Scheme in Assam is to help young citizens secure internships and gain practical experience in the real world. All young citizens who receive an internship under this scheme will receive a monthly stipend of INR 5,000. In some companies, the stipend may be higher, but candidates will not be paid less than INR 500 monthly. Through this portal, young citizens can apply online from home. They can also access other information such as guidelines, the list of partner companies, frequently asked questions, etc. All citizens of Assam who wish to benefit from this scheme are requested to fill out the application form before the deadline, which is November 10, 2024.

The eligibility criteria for candidates applying for the Prime Minister Internship Scheme are as follows:

• The candidate should be a occupant of India.
• The applicant’s age should be between 21-24 years.
• Applicants participating in online or distance education can apply, but they should not be a full-time employee or student.
• Applicants must have a certificate from an Industrial Training Institute (ITI), a diploma from a polytechnic institute, or a graduation degree such as BA, BSc, BCom, BCA, BBA, BPharma, etc. They must have completed the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) or equivalent and Secondary School Certificate (SSC) or equivalent.

• Self-certified family income statement

• Citizens with an annual family income exceeding INR 8 lakhs are not eligible to apply.
• Citizens whose family members are government employees are not eligible to apply.
• Graduates from institutions such as IIT, ILM, National Law Universities, NID, and IIIT are not eligible for this scheme.
• Those with degrees such as CA, CMA, CS, MBBS, BDS, MBA, or any master’s degree or higher.
• Individuals currently enrolled in any skill, apprenticeship, internship, or student training program under the central or state government.
• Those who have ever completed an apprenticeship under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) or National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS).

1. Interested young citizens of India who wish to register for the Prime Minister Internship Scheme (Pilot Project) Assam should visit the official website at pminternship.mca.gov.in.
2. On the homepage, look for the “Youth Registration” option and click on it.
3. A pop-up will appear on the screen, prompting young citizens to enter their mobile number and press the “Submit” button.
4. Now, young citizens need to enter the OTP received on their registered mobile number and click “Submit” again.
5. Another pop-up will appear, seeking Aadhaar consent. Young citizens should tick the checkbox and proceed by clicking “Agree.”
6. Another pop-up will appear with the “Password Update” option. Young citizens need to enter the current password and the new password twice.
7. After entering the current and new password, review the information and click the “Submit” button.
8. Now young citizens can access the portal by clicking on the “Candidate Profile” option and use the available services.
9. To log out of the portal, click the “User Profile Link” in the top right corner of every page.

Young citizens must complete their Candidate Profile by providing the following details:

• Educational Information

1. The first step in creating a Candidate Profile is the e-KYC process, for which they need to download the DigiLocker app and log into their account.
2. After logging in, click on the “My Identity” option and then click on “Proceed with My Identity.”
3. On the new screen, young citizens must enter their Aadhaar number and click on “Request OTP.”
4. Enter the OTP and click on the “Continue” button.
5. A new menu will appear where citizens need to enter a six-digit security PIN to access their DigiLocker account.
6. On the new screen, young citizens must allow access to their Aadhaar information for the Prime Minister Internship Scheme.
7. Citizens should click on “Allow,” enter their email ID, and press the “Verify” button.
8. Enter the OTP got on the email and snap the “Submit” button.

1. Registered young citizens of India who are part of this scheme should visit the official website pminternship.mca.gov.in and log in.
2. On the homepage, find the “Login” option and click on it.
3. On the new screen, users need to enter their username and password correctly.
4. After entering all details, review them and click the login button to complete the process.
