Step no:01

To know how much subsidy you can get on electricity under the Gruha Jyoti Scheme. You have to do this just, collect all your bills for the previous financial year 1 March sy 31 March.

Consumption units in a year:
97+93+110+100+65+87+103+160+170+91+65+72

Step no:02

After all, calculating the bills, the Candidate should have a look at the consumption units. Then simply you simply have to calculate all the units of the previous year and then you have to add them all.

Find a sum up of these used units:

97+93+110+100+65+87+103+160+170+91+65+72=1203

Step no:03

After adding up all the units, the Candidate found a sum up of them. When there comes the result of submission then divide this sum up by 12.

Divide the sum up with 12= 97+93+110+100+65+87+103+160+170+91+65+72=1203/12=100.25

Step no:04

According to the Government of Karnataka, the candidate should add 10% in the conclusion of the units divided by 12. For if we have 100 units then we will add 10% and it will become 110.

Addition of 10%= (100.25+10)=110.25 units

Step no:05

After that, if the final result is less than 200 units then you will be eligible for a Subsidy. For instance, if the total units that you used in the previous year are more than 200 then you are not eligible for Karnataka Gruha Jyothi Scheme.

Step no:06

Here is another condition if a Citizen of Karnataka wants free electricity then you have to fulfill the following condition. Let us understand it with an example. If you used 150 units in a year then in the next year you must use 150 units or less then it.

Step no:07

Last but not least if you cross the limit of units used in previous years then you have to pay for extra units you have used. Let’s say you consume 150 units in 2022 and in the next year 2023 you consume 160 units then you have to pay for 10 units you extra used.
