All the female permanent residents of Tamil Nadu state will be awarded Rs.1000 per month. This act will promote gender equality and also improve the social status of females. The TN Government has received more than 1.63 crore applications and 1.06 crore has been selected.
TN Government also convinced the women of Tamil state to have ATM cards to ensure an easy and smooth withdrawal process, as the amount of 1000 will be sent directly to their accounts.
