If the ration card or family card lists a male as the head of the household, the spouse of the male head of the household mentioned in the ration card is considered the female breadwinner. The female breadwinner will receive Rs.1,000 in her registered bank account every month.

All female and transgender individuals residing in Tamil Nadu, aged 21 and above, are qualified. Unmarried women and widows who are the primary breadwinners of their households are eligible under this scheme. The annual household income of the female applicant must be less than Rs.2.5 lakh. The applicant’s family should not possess more than 10 acres of arid land or five acres of irrigated land. The annual electricity consumption of the household should be below 3,600 units. The applicant’s family should not own a car or any four-wheeled vehicle. The spouses of government officials (both State and Central Government), bank employees, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), income tax payers, pension recipients, professional tax payers, and elected members of local authorities are not entitled to the scheme
