Delhi Finance Minister Arvindfrom Deilhi’s budget 2024, has announced an allowance of Rsm 2,000 core for the women of Delhi. This act is a powerful step regarding the social reformers and aims to level up the lives of Delhi women.
According to their scheme women above the age of 18 and suffering from financial instability can apply for this scheme. Female citizens will be provided with 1k (1000) per month.
Chief Minister while talking about this scheme said:
“In our households, when a daughter or sister returns home, her father or older brother gives her a small amount of money because they want her to be independent and meet her own needs. As a son and an elder brother, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is bringing in the “Mukyamantri Mahila Samman Yojna” for the year 2024–2025 today.

Arvind Kejriwal a politician and social activist announced this scheme under the Mukyamantri Mahila Samman Yojna. Here are the mentioned benefits of this scheme.
- Empowering Female Citizens of Delhi:
The first and most important purpose of this scheme is to improve the social conditions of female citizens in Delhi. All females above 18 years and who are non-textable are eligible for this scheme. Every month the transaction will be sent directly to the accounts. - Support for students and Job seekers:
This scheme is also very helpful for female students and also who are trying to find jobs. The eligibility criteria of this scheme also allow to students take an allowance of 1k per month to fulfill their academic requirements. - As a Symbol of Gender Equality:
That act taken by the government of Delhi also symbolizes gender equality and empowers the role of women in society. Also, the low-cost workers and retired female workers are allowed for a 1000 allowance per month.
Eligibility criteria
- All female- citizens of Delhi who are 18+ are eligible for this scheme.
- Students are also allowed to take allowance.
- Applicant should be non-text-able.
- Applicant must have a Delhi-ID- card.
- If the applicant is a jobean, but non-text-able then she can also apply for this scheme.
- The applicant is retired from the job, but not receiving a pension, she is also eligible for this scheme.
Economic Relief:
All the beneficiaries will receive the amount of 1000 per month directly in their accounts from coming October.
