The Odisha government has launched the Mo Ghara Yojana to help the state’s economically weaker sections. Through this scheme, people can borrow up to Rs. 3 lakhs with a repayment period of 10 years. This allows them to buy a home without worrying about paying high rent.
If you’re in Odisha and looking for an affordable housing option, you can apply for this scheme. The program offers flexible choices, such as no down payment and the option to choose higher EMIs if that suits your budget. However, only households from lower-income groups are eligible to benefit from this program.

Objective of Mo Ghara Yojana Odisha
The main goal of the Mo Ghara Yojana in Odisha is to help people in the state buy their own homes. The Odisha government is committed to the vision of “Pukka House for All,” aiming to provide solid, permanent housing for its citizens. Since 2014–15, the state has already facilitated the construction of over 3 million houses through various programs.
Under this scheme, the government aims to provide enough financial support to help rural families build decent pucca (permanent) houses. Beneficiaries can get a housing loan of up to Rs. 3 lakhs with a one-year grace period before repayments begin, and they have 10 years to repay the loan.
In addition to the housing loan, beneficiaries may also qualify for support through other schemes that provide essential services like rural electricity, drinking water, and sanitation. This comprehensive approach ensures that rural households have access to not just a house, but a home with all necessary amenities.
