Mukhyamantri Ladki Bahin Yojana 2024: Apply Online, Eligibility, and Diwali Bonus

The Maharashtra Government has come up with the Mukhyamantri Ladki Bahin Yojana, which gives financial empowerment to women aged between 21 to 65 years. The state government will provide DBT to eligible women under the scheme and is also providing them an extra special Diwali Bonus of ₹3,000 in the month of October 2024. The reason behind this scheme will be further economic independence for women, improved health and well-being in the state. • Mukhyamantri Ladki Bahin Yojana or Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana is a programme launched by the Women and Child Development Department of Maharashtra. The main purpose of this scheme has been to improve women’s health and nutrition status since they are the backbone of the family and will provide economic freedom to women. Beneficiary ladies will get ₹1,500 every month through DBT.
• During 2024, the Maharashtra Government also announced Diwali Bonus, which increases the sum to ₹3,000 for the festival month October, wherein additional money is provided in the season of Diwali to women.

The conditions for Mukhyamantri Ladki Bahin Yojana include:

Gender Applicant must be a female.

Residency Applicant must be a resident of Maharashtra.

Age Applicant must be between 21 to 65 years.

Annual Family Income It should not exceed ₹2,50,000.

Service Status The candidates shall be qualified if they fall under any of these categories-out soursed, volunteer and contract workers earning at the level of income.

Additional Note on Income:

Women holding Yellow or Orange Ration Card are eligible and do not have to provide any form of proof of income, for the women who come under White Ration Card or are without ration card a proof of income is expected.

• A candidate stands disqualified if they do not fall under the eligibility criteria. The grounds for disqualification are as follows
• Income: Families with an earning of more than ₹2,50,000 per year.
• Tax payers: Any member of the family who is a taxpayer of income.
• Dual Benefits: Women beneficiaries of other schemes of the Government to the tune of ₹1,500 per month.
• Political Office holders: If any member of the family is a MP/ MLA, or holds office in a governmental position such as Chairman/Vice-Chairman of a government panel.
• Vehicle Ownership: Households owning a four-wheeler (other than tractors).

• The following documents are to be furnished by the applicant: 
• Photograph of Beneficiary Woman 
• Aadhaar Card 
• Maharashtra Domicile Certificate For those not having this, a proof can be availed like 15-year-old ration card, Voter Card, Birth Certificate or even a School Leaving Certificate  Income certificate Not required if the beneficiary woman has Yellow or Orange Ration Card Marriage Certificate Wed women could also submit an newly issued ration card in her husband’s name also, if she exists there. The Mukhyamantri Ladki Bahin Yojana application process for online has two procedures- registration and application. You are to follow the following steps:

Step 1: Visit the Official Website

You need to go to: ladakibahin.maharashtra.gov.in .

Step 2: Create an Account

Click on “Applicant Login” and then “Create Account” on the main page.

Enter your full name according to the Aadhaar, mobile number, password, district, taluka, village, and other personal information.

Accept terms and conditions and submit the form.

OTP Verification

You will receive OTP on your registered mobile number. Use that OTP to get verified.

Login

Fill up Application Form

Then, choose the option of “Application of Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana.”

Now, enter Aadhaar number and CAPTCHA then click on “Valid Aadhaar.”

Fill up the application form with bank details, Permanent Address and other mandatory details.

Step 6: Uploading Documents

Upload all the scanning documents to be provided such as Aadhaar card, Domicile certificate, Ration card etc.

Step 7: Submission of the Application

Click the Submit button for submitting the application form. You will be receiving the application ID through SMS.

After submitting your application, you can check the status by following these steps:

1. Log in to the portal using your mobile number and password.
2. Click on “Applications Made Earlier” to view your application status.

The Diwali Bonus scheme launched in October 2024 will benefit over 94,000 women beneficiaries with an advanced payment of ₹3,000. The bonus is made with a view to provide extra financial support during the festive period so that women may handle their Diwali expenses very easily. Already registered under the scheme women will get the bonus automatically deposited into their bank accounts.
