For the previous two or more 2 years the government of India has been focusing on the education of the young generation. Pradhan Mantri’s Schools for Rising India scheme was launched two years ago on 22 September 2022 and the time to estimated for 5 years (2026-27).
According to this scheme, 14,500 schools will be upgraded and the remaining 8,639 schools will be run by the local government, for this scheme, the amount of Rs 27,360 crore will be spent, of which the Centre would bear Rs 18,128 crore. The period to fulfill the main objectives of this scheme is 5 years.

The 20 lakh estimated students would be allowed to attend smart classes, they are also allowed to use tablets and laptops during class and use projectors. Selection method:
PM Shri Schools will be selected under the “challenge mode”, the schools having minimum facilities can apply for this scheme. The selection will be done under three stages under taking services of the Bhaskaracharya National Institute for Space Applications and Geo-informatics (BISAG-N).
