The Prime Minister Internship Scheme 2024 is an initiative announced by India’s Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, aiming to provide residencies for 1 crore jobless youth. This program, officially initiation on October 3, 2024, will offer monetary help, applied knowledge, and services growth to young persons, ornamental their employability. To succeed for the scheme, applicants must:

• Be enduring residents of India.
• Be aged among 21 to 24 years.
• Have finished SSC, HSC, or hold a diploma/diploma (ITI, Polytechnic), or a advancement degree (BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BCA, BBA, B.Pharma).
• Not be engaged in full-time employment or full-time education.
• Come from relations without regular administration staffs and with an annual family revenue below INR 8 lakh.

Ineligible applicants include alumnae from premier organizations like IITs, IIMs, and holders of higher degrees (e.g., MBBS, PhD, MBA), or those enrolled in other government traineeship or internship programs.

• Monthly stipend of INR 4,500 from the administration, with an extra INR 500 from participating companies (through CSR funds).
• One-time monetary assistance of INR 6,000.
• Internships with top 500 companies in India, providing hands-on work experience.
• Insurance attention under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana.
